Find answers to common questions about LBPT and our ecosystem
LBPT stands for Location-Based Platform Technology. All services on the WELINK platform operated by LBPT are fundamentally built on location-based services. Use of location-based services requires explicit user consent. Without this consent, the platform and its services cannot be used.
LBPT is a foundation that operates five WELINK-based platforms using the LBP token. Rather than focusing solely on price speculation or short-term returns, LBPT aims to make LBP a widely used, practical asset within everyday platforms, provide convenient, real-world utility that anyone can access and benefit from, and build a sustainable ecosystem where token usage and platform growth go hand in hand.
LBPT's core business is platform operation. The main platform is WELINK. Within WELINK, there are five smaller user-focused platforms. These platforms will be gradually expanded, and LBPT will generate revenue by operating and scaling them.
LBP is the cryptocurrency issued by the LBPT Foundation. LBP is used across the WELINK platform operated by LBPT for transactions and payments, user rewards and incentives, platform fees and service charges, and donation and contribution programs within the ecosystem.
The LBPT Foundation is incorporated in Singapore. For more detailed corporate and regulatory information, please refer to the official website.
The total supply of LBP was calculated based on the volume required for the long-term operation of the WELINK platform, the need for sustainable token circulation and pricing, and detailed simulations of reward allocations and donation volumes. For the initial phase, including user acquisition and early platform adoption, the total supply is classified into multiple pools, such as pre-listing circulation for early users, foundation-held allocation, and circulating supply for actual platform use and trading.
Participation in the project is subject to specific conditions, including an individual holding limit. Each participant may hold up to a maximum of 88 LBP. Within this cap, users are free to participate according to their own preferences and risk profile. Once acquired, LBP can be freely used on the WELINK platform operated by LBPT. After LBP is listed on an exchange, there will be no lock-up, and tokens will be freely tradable. Participation is available via the official pre-participation page. Users can swap USDT for LBP through this page. Participation price is USD 0.09 per 1 LBP. When a valid referral code is used, a 7% referral reward is granted.
The participation price during the pre-sale is USD 0.09 per LBP. The initial listing price will be determined in consultation with the listing exchange.
The total supply of LBP is determined based on the actual needs of the WELINK platform operated by the LBPT Foundation. Key elements of the token policy include allocation of tokens for platform operations, rewards and distributions, dividends and ecosystem incentives. It also includes application of burn (LOCK-UP) and donation mechanisms to support long-term value appreciation, prevent excessive circulating supply, and stabilize token usage within the ecosystem.
The LBP burn mechanism is not a simple, permanent destruction of tokens. Instead, it is designed as a LOCK-UP–based supply management system. A portion of LBP is locked to mitigate excessive price spikes caused by temporary supply shortages on the WELINK platform and protect general users from extreme volatility and usability issues. When there is a shortage of LBP within WELINK, up to 0.1% of the locked amount can be gradually re-released into circulation. The maximum cumulative burn (LOCK-UP) volume is up to 50% of total issuance.
Community Donation (CD) has multiple layers of purpose and impact. It provides social support and inclusion directed toward underprivileged and marginalized groups, aims to make participation in the platform and its rewards more universal and accessible. It also supports platform activation and ecosystem stabilization by creating a currency that is actually needed and used within specific platforms. LBPT focuses on real usage within the WELINK platform and systems that preserve value for participating merchants and users.
The total issuance of LBP is 500,000,000 (500 million) LBP.
All LBPT platforms (the LBPT ecosystem) are built on location-based services as a core foundation. The ecosystem is designed for a global environment, not limited to a single country, and supports interactions between both locals and foreigners. The main services include BEFRIEND (finding meaningful connections while traveling), UTUT (global P2P LBP trading), L.AD (merchant-driven local advertising), TIG (safer and richer experiences abroad), and LBP PAYMENT (extending digital assets into everyday life).
BEFRIEND helps users find meaningful connections while traveling. Users can find new connections within 100 meters of their current location. Communication is possible regardless of language or nationality through AI-based automatic translation. Users write in their own native language and the system automatically translates into the other party's language, significantly reducing miscommunication and the friction of manual language setting.
UTUT enables global P2P LBP trading. Users can find LBP traders within 100 meters of their location. Peer-to-peer LBP trades can be conducted based on the exchange price listed on formal exchanges. Users can freely agree on prices derived from the official market rate, with integration with OTC markets and local exchange offices for easier practical use.
L.AD is a location-based advertising platform for small, local merchants who face high barriers to advertising. Merchants can use a smartphone to take photos and upload their own promotional content directly. Users (all WELINK members) can easily discover new, local, or advertised stores within 100 meters of their position. Advertising costs are paid in LBP and are set lower than typical external advertising channels.
TIG addresses the challenges foreigners face when living, traveling, or working overseas, such as unexpected incidents, disputes, language barriers, and cultural differences. TIG registers local experts and problem solvers and matches them with users who request support in incident handling, administrative procedures, and everyday problem-solving, providing a structured platform where requests and responses are managed transparently.
LBP PAYMENT connects multiple industries and merchants, including L.AD partner stores, to promote real-world LBP usage. It enables payments in LBP across various partner merchants, combines pricing, trading, and donation systems, and ensures that transactions can be made quickly and easily using LBP in daily life.
For merchants accepting LBP, each merchant uses a dedicated wallet for receiving payments. In the second version of the platform, merchants will be able to generate and register QR codes based on specific price points and freely set and manage prices in LBP. For customers, simply scan the merchant's QR code, enter the transfer password, and confirm the transaction. Funds are then automatically transferred to the merchant's wallet.
"Seamless payment" refers to the frictionless, user-friendly experience of using blockchain-based payments in everyday situations. It includes fast and intuitive payment flows using QR codes, automated handling of exchange rate fluctuations through LBPT's internal systems, and minimal complexity for both merchants and customers, similar to using conventional payment methods.
Merchants receive LBP payments via QR code–based transactions. The merchant generates a payment QR code linked to their wallet and desired price. The customer scans the QR code and confirms the transaction. LBP is transferred directly to the merchant's wallet, and transaction details are recorded on the platform.
